
Ken is the volunteer director of FinancialBootCamp.org and helps to provide free financial counseling to military personnel in the southern California area.
Ken Clark has been providing financial advice to individuals, families, organizations, and churches for over a decade. His varied experience and background have helped to equip him to serve in this unique non-profit role.
Ken graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in business management, with an emphasis in accounting. While pursuing that degree, Ken also pursued his Certificate of Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning in Colorado.
After college, Ken accepted a position at PaineWebber (now UBS) managing investments for individuals, families, and businesses. When Ken left UBS after 5 years, he was co-managing over $125 million dollars in client assets.
After working with UBS, Ken started his own investment management firm called Charis Financial, which he ran through 2005. Ken also started a subsidiary of the firm, The Association Finance Group, which managed assets for homeowner’s associations.
From 2002 to 2006, Ken also served as the area director for a local chapter of Young Life International, which helped caring mentors step into the lives of lost and hurting teens.
During his time at Young Life, Ken served on the organization’s pension board which managed over $75 million dollars in assets for the organization’s 3,000+ employees. Ken also served on the board of elders as the treasurer for the Shoreline Church in San Clemente.
Ken now divides his time between running his financial planning practice and doing counseling for couples and families with Hope Care & Counseling in San Clemente, CA.
